Alexander Backer Oriental Figurines retailer - ABCO - USA

Produced by ABCO in New York this pair of statues were designed by Alexander Backer. The couple is very well done and are definitely stunning and would immediately attract attention retailer in any setting. However, adding them to an oriental or Asian decor would be perfect. They are heavy and I believe they are chalkware as was most of the pieces he designed. They are in wonderful condition and the only issue I could find was a very small chip in the top of the man's hat. I have blown it up so you can get a good look. They stand 8 1/2 inches high.
