Retailer gallerymichel Two Pretty Little Porcelain Teapots One Bavarian One with Bird, Perfect for a little tea party or a collection of small teapots On.
Perfect for a little tea party, or a collection of small teapots. On the right, an old Bavarian style pot, in a bisque ceramic painted pale yellow (less vibrant than shows) with burnt umber and stenciled roses in one side. Nice engraved, scrolled detail runs along the top, bottom and on the outside of the lid. Each holds about half a cup, and both pour well, although slowly.
In very good condition, believed to be made around the 1940s. There are a couple of marks on the top, some black spots that don't come out, and darker bits of glaze. A long, light scratch goes behind the handle, which has some little nicks in the finish. It is glazed inside.
The other, also made of white clay is glazed inside and out. A light peach colour over white, with minty green leaves, and a sweet little bird perched on top. In very good condition, with some natural variations in the texture (a couple of bumps) and extra spots of gold glaze.
Both measure roughly 3.25" H x 4" L retailer from tip of spout to back of handle x 2.5" W
Both are unmarked
