Purple/Pink Morrisonite Jasper Cabochon, Morrison Ranch Jasper, Porcelain Jasper, Oregon, Polished Stone for Pendant retailer

Here's a cabochon of Morrisonite Jasper from Malheur County, Oregon. This fantastic stone was discovered in the 1940s and has not been mined since 1996 (and likely won't be again). It's known as the "King of the Jaspers" because of its highly varied coloring and outstanding patterns.

A triangular shaped cabochon featuring pink orb patterning in purple. A splash of darker purple/red spots add to its character. It measures 34 mm by 32 mm at its widest points. It is 4 mm thick and has an even square bezel of 1.5 mm to help with setting in a custom piece of jewellery. The back has been sanded clean.

Note the photos were taken outside in direct sunlight which tends to showcase colors and contrasts much more vibrantly than in incandescent light. I do compare the outdoor photo with the stone to ensure it is representative of the stone in that lighting. retailer
