Pink retailer Clouds Paperweight

This paperweight has inner waves of turquoise suspended retailer in a large clear oval-shaped base. Opaque pink fragments, which a child recently told me looked like sunset clouds, float between the folds of color and transparency.

This piece was created from 2150°F molten glass. Through careful modeling, marvering and manipulation, this bottle gradually defined its own shape. As is always the case with artisanal glass, this craft requires spontaneity and adaptability, making each unique piece one-of-a-kind.
