This image was designed, drawn, carved, and printed by me. Except as noted, I hand paint each print in the edition. Because they are hand painted, there will be slight variations in color from the image presented here.

These prints are all ORIGINAL...they are NOT REPRODUCTIONS.

The title of this print is "Nothing's Inside".

Note: This colored linocut print was made using the “reduction” method of printing. I printed all of the colors from one block. After a design, edition size, and method of registration were established, I printed the uncut block with my first color choice (usually the lightest color). The entire edition must be printed before moving on to another color. Once done, I carve from the block the areas I want to be the first color, then ink the block with the second color and print over the first. I used this procedure for each subsequent color until the design was completed and the surface of the block was reduced to the last color printed. The block is essentially destroyed while producing the design so there is no going back to correct mistakes. Because of this the method is sometimes referred to by printmakers as the “suicide” method.

Print 9001 is signed and numbered by me.
There are 15 prints in this edition.
The image size is about 8 x 8 inches and is printed retailer on paper that is about 9 3/4 x 11 inches.
It will not be matted or framed and will be packaged and shipped via US Mail.

Note: Some of my prints have been previously mounted for display purposes. They may contain traces of archival adhesive on the upper reverse of the paper. This does not interfere with the printed image or the quality of the print. They may also contain numbers, words, paint, or finger prints (printing can be a sloppy business you know) in the margins of the image side of the paper. These marks should not interfere with the display of the image when matted and framed.
