Fragonard retailer Love Story Plate (N)

Beautiful love story plate produced by Adler JWK of Bavaria in 1930. This lovely piece depicts a central scene of a young musician serenading his love. Painted by the French Romantic artist Jean Honore Fragonard in his inimitable Rococo style. All around the perimeter of the plate there retailer are different love scenes showing the courtship of the young couple. The plate is in near perfect condition and has no cracks, chips or damage. It measures 11 inches in diameter (28cm). It is a lovely example of Romantic ceramics.
