This is a natural red Ruby with no leaded glass. This gem has had standard heat treatment. This bright gem is a hand faceted oval and the color is a well saturated pinkish red with color zoning. The clarity is I2 heavily included with nice translucence. It measures 8.5 x 7.0 x 3.9 mm and weighs 2.28 carat. This gem originated in Thailand, near Cambodia.
Ruby is the birthstone for July and is a 9 on Moh's scale plus is very tough, highly suitable for wear in most any jewelry item.
