Vintage HONDURAS Central American Man & WOMAN retailer Handcarved Wood FOLK Art Statues c1970-80s

Here is a pair of vintage handcarved wood statues of two Honduras people. The man is depicted carrying a satchel/container over his shoulder. The woman has a bowl/basket balanced on her head. Each figure has carved details in their clothing and their faces and hands are more simply/crudely carved. Both are in good as is condition with a crack ( from age), on one side of the man's satchel ,over his shoulder. Every old wood piece I sell has cracks from the wood expanding and contracting and is normal. They both measure about 11 1/4 in. tall and 3 7/8 in. wide. They are both stained with brown stain and a light black stain or paint. The wood is very lightweight but each statue is sturdy. I would date these statues to the 1970-80s time period.
