These rare gemstones are genuine pale pink rose quartz. When you shine a flashlight directly at them, you'll see a "star" effect within the stone. Rose quartz in this clarity is rare; star rose quartz is even more so.

Please note that these are a very faint pink color, nearly clear, and that the star is only present when the stone is lit properly. This is a natural phenomenon called asterism, The stars are caused by the light reflecting from needle-like inclusions aligned perpendicular to the rays of the star. It's not something you're going to see every time you look in the mirror like a painted-on star pattern.

SETTINGS:
Native American hand crafted sterling silver serrated settings, or US made gold crown settings (14k white, yellow, or rose gold). Solid (not plated) and made with sustainable US reclaimed/recycled precious metals.

See crown setting examples in the 3rd product image. Sterling silver serrated settings have the post in the center; gold crown settings have the post near the top of the earring. Silver settings have a closed back, while gold settings have an open back. Transparent gems may perform better in closed-back silver settings.

Please take a look at the modeled photo for an idea of how big they are in "real life". The model is wearing one pair of 4mm (smaller) and one pair of 6mm (larger) so that you can compare. Exact size may vary +/- .20mm.
