Vintage retailer Silver TAXCO Brooch Pendant

Vintage 925 Silver Brooch - TAXCO

This is an intricate brooch pin which also has a strong generous bail/loop so that it also can be worn on a neck chain. I am not an expert at identifying items like retailer this, so please correct me if you feel my research is in error. In my research I found other similar items which claim to be Mexican, Mayan Tribal, or Aztec in design.

The basic circle of the piece is approximately 1.5 inches in diameter. There are 5 silver dangles hanging from the bottom. Total length is approximately 2.5". The jewelry stamp does say 925, and also includes "ENMEX". There is patina which I did not remove or clean.
