Vintage retailer Cast Metal Greek Statue - Discobolus Statue

This interesting piece measures 8 inches in height, 5 inches in length and 3.125 inches in width. This statue stands on a marble base that measures 3.125 inches by 3.325 inches. The statue is made of cast metal that at first glance looks brass in nature - which it could be. There are some areas of patina on the base and a couple of areas where it looks like a base metal has worn through the gold finish. All of these observation were made under magnification as they are not retailer readily visible with the naked eye. The statue depicts "Discobolus" - (which is also written on its base along with "Made in Greece". This was likely a Greek souvenir. It has alot of charm!
