To some extent, I consider all of my art to be collage: bits and bobs, mixed and matched together. But these new ephemera collages really do exemplify the style. The paper ephemera is 100% upcycled, from all sorts of places. This particular piece, "the collector", features bits from a cabinet card, an anthropology textbook, a book jacket, and a few university magazines. They're layered on top of a midcentury orange hardcover. It is titled, initialed, and dated on the back, along with the original cabinet card's advertising line.
