This outfit has no label, and because it shows some beautiful hand-sewn finishing and is made of silk brocade, I believe it may have been custom made in Asia. I estimate it dates from the early to mid-1960s.
The dress is a sheath in cut. It has a self-fabric bound neckline that is squared in front, rounded in back. There is piping at the waist and a side covered metal zipper. The short sleeves have raglan shoulder seams. The jacket has that Jackie Kennedy-style boxy, cropped silhouette, with short sleeves (slightly longer than the dress's short sleeves) and a no-fasten front. Both pieces are lined in lightweight rayon. The brocade is patterned with chrysanthemums. The color is light cream toward off-white and the flowers are very pale golden.
Condition: Dry cleaned by my eco-friendly (non-perc) dry cleaner, the outfit is in very good condition. The cleaning dissipated what was more noticeable underarm yellowing in the dress. I show what both look like now in the last two photos, and as you can tell, the stains are only vaguely visible. In the 3rd from last photo, you can see that the hem was raised, which shows only from the inside.
Size: Small. I believe the dress was custom made retailer and doesn't quite conform to a standard size, but it will probably work best for about a US size 4.

Please note: I measure the dimension of the item itself, and you will need to consider what size you would want the item to be to fit well on you.
