Product Name: Ping Eye2+ No + golf retailer iron set 3-PW
Rare and desirable version of the classic Eye 2 - the Eye 2+ No + (Plus No Plus). Made only from the fall of 1989 to the spring of 1990. In a nutshell, this version of the Eye 2 retains the more desirable "RADIUSED SQUARE GROOVES" but with slightly altered head design and stronger lofts, as well as other refinements. Refinished sets retailer selling for close to $500 on eBay. Matching serial #s except for 7 iron, which was replaced with identical + No + and matching shaft. Brand new blue Star Grips on each club. From Ping: New head design featuring a "scalloped" sole. The scalloped referred to the design process where metal was removed from the center of the sole and redistributed in the inside of the cavity near the toe. Additional design features include a more radiused sole, a modified bounce and grind, a slightly thinner topline, a slight increase in clubhead size, a little higher and more rounded toe, and slightly stronger lofts. The grooves were the same as the "Square Groove" model.
