Vintage Japanese Aluminum Hot retailer Platters with Wooden Holders, Set of Three

Here is a lovely set of vintage heavy aluminum hot platters/plates with wooden holders perfect for entertaining or everyday use. These platters were made in Japan for Aluminum Housewares Co., Inc., St. Louis, Missouri.

The platters are silver with a pattern that resembles a tree or perhaps a fish. They would be ideal for steak or fish, or anything hot and juicy. The platters are an inch thick, so drippings from meat will not spill over. They could even be used on a coffee table to serve cookies, candy, chocolates, or any appetizer. The wooden holders make it possible to carry the platters/plates while they are hot. The wooden holders say "Made in Japan" on the bottom, as do the platters.

The platters measure 12 inches wide by 8 inches across and 1 inch deep. The wooden holders measure 13 inches wide by 6-1/4 inches across and 3/4 inch deep. All pieces are in good vintage condition, with just a few signs of usage and visible patina.
