Vintage Pink Rose on Guilloche Enamel Evans Mayfair Compact - With Original Rouge Powder Puff - retailer Art Deco Boudoir Vanity Accessory

Vintage Art Deco Mayfair Evans Compact. A hand painted pink rose decorated a creamy pale yellow colored guilloche filed on the lid of this black enamel compact. The compact has never been used and has the original "Evans" powder puff. An interior compartment behind the hinged mirror opens to reveal the rouge well, containing the unused and embossed "Mayfair Evans" rouge with protective paper and original rouge puff. Made in the retailer 1920s, the Art Deco compact measures approximately 2 1/4" square. In Excellent Unused Vintage Condition with a few very minor scuffs from storage.

HALLMARKS/HISTORY: Marked on powder puff "Evans" and on Rouge paper cover "Mayfair" and "Evans Case Co. North Attleboro, Mass. USA." Also provided are instructions for ordering a rouge refill for $.31. The roots of the Evans Company reach back to 1807. Evans was one of the premier compact makers from the 1920s to the 1960s.

CONDITION: Excellent Unused Vintage Condition, with very minor surface scuffs from storage.
