Nowadays I listen to audio books while I paint because taking the time to turn pages is a luxury for when everything is done. But I miss reading actual books. Sure there are still stacks of them around for that special rainy someday, but I wanted to honor a memory of my late mother's library with a rose from her garden. Thanks Mom for instilling in me a love of learning and passion for a good story!
These 9x12” acrylics are demo paintings from my art classes - inspired by photos taken in Northern California, on trips to the tropics and across the US. In 2017 I moved my studio to Woodstock, New York to teach art and find beautiful new landscapes to paint. Some will repeat as they sell (this is version 3), but each will be a little different as they are indeed originals.
