ABOUT THE ORIGINAL HANDMADE PAPER PAINTING:
This is truly a one-of-a-kind piece, and special to my heart. All of my paintings are inspired by nature, this one, in particular, is inspired by the wildlife found within the woodlands of new jersey. This painting features a bold striped skunk, surrounded by flora and fauna of the forest, mushrooms, pinecones and flowers. There are pieces of dried ferns and mugwort in this piece.


Each piece of paper is handmade from various pieces of recycled paper, paint pieces, dried herbs & fallen flowers. With the paper-making process, no piece of paper is the same, which makes each one so unique. Once all of the paper is dried, then painting designs are sketched out on each piece and delicately hand-painted with gouache paint, using an intentional color palette inspired by the subject itself.
