Description

Product Name: Ceramic planter, black turquoise grooves handmade, vintage planter retailer by Carstens Uffrecht, Germany, Bauhaus art ceramics 1930s

Vintage antique flower pot / vase ceramic, hand-made

Rare, large ceramic planter / vase.
A German Bauhaus / Art Deco design distinguishes this vessel. It should have been made by Carstens, Uffrecht or Waechtersbach , Germany.
I can't say for sure.

The vessel was made from a light-colored body with a micro-fine groove relief all around and then on the outside with one
very dark, almost black glaze.
It is a glaze with metal parts, as it was used in the raku area. It develops a special shine depending on the incidence of light. See photos.
Inside the vase is glazed white in the lower area. The upper edge was glazed in a strong turquoise running into white and is part of the design.
The vessel has a stand where the white shard can be seen underneath. The middle was glazed and contains a signature, which I unfortunately cannot recognize 100%.

As a planter or as a vase, bsw. short white roses a focal point in retailer your ambience.
A vessel with history and a rare collector's item for lovers of old ceramics. Also an addition in a very modern or minimalist ambience.

The condition is excellent for its age, no chips or cracks can be seen.
There are small signs of wear and tear such as small scratches and a little discoloration on the bottom bottom, not visible from the outside.
The beautiful vessel is tight and can be used as a planter or vase.
