Pillbox retailer hat, Floral, Coral

This classic round pillbox hat was made using traditional millinery techniques. It has a buckram base and is covered in a vintage floral fabric. The fabric has strategic pleats along the side to add more interest and some of the small flowers have been accented with fine rose gold glitter. This hat is lined and has the traditional grosgrain ribbon along the inside. It also has an elastic band to help secure it to the head that can easily be removed if you wish to use another method of attachment.

Although this hat may look rather simple to begin with the small details make it very special and one of a kind!

I began my millinery journey while in college at the School of the Art retailer Institute of Chicago, learning from some of the best teachers in the world. I fell in love with the traditional construction process and learned a much deeper appreciation for these type of handmade items, especially using vintage materials (they just don't make 'em like they used to anymore!).
