These super cute sterling silver bird dangle earrings have been designed and handmade completely from scratch and entirely by hand using traditional silversmithing techniques in my Sussex (UK) workshop.

These little birds and their wing decoration are hand pierced (sawn out) from sterling silver sheet using a fine jewellers saw. All components are then silver soldered together. They have been oxidised to enhance features of their design.

The birds measure approximately 17.5mm wide by 12.3mm high (including the jump ring) and hang from hand made sterling silver ear wires so that the total drop length from the top of the ear wires are approximately 3.5cm. • A note about hallmarking:
By UK law, all sterling silver items for sale weighing 7.78g or over must be hallmarked by one of the four U.K. retailer Assay Offices. It is illegal to sell items over this weight in silver without a hallmark. Each earring falls under the weight threshold and as such do not require hallmarking. (Please see my FAQs to learn more about hallmarking and your rights). Please be aware that a 925 stamp on jewellery is not a hallmark.
