The beautiful solid hammered brass trivet is in excellent condition. The aging gold color of this brass trivet has a developing grayish-green patina that gives it a warm country appearance. The eight-pointed star in the center is very similar to a Litvak and/or Turkish theme. At first glance, the floral theme around the center of the trivet looks very similar to a snowflake pattern. Also, the open center of the handle allows this beautiful trivet to become a beautiful wall-hanging kitchen decoration. In addition, there are three stud-like feet under the round portion of this gorgeous brass trivet.

The backside of the center star has "J8" incised into the brass.

There are no breaks, cracks, bent sections, or repair places on this beautiful solid hammered brass trivet. There are some vintage wear, age, and rub marks on the trivet - mainly in the form of developing patina on the surface of the trivet. Also, the brownish spots in the handle appear to be made into the trivet. They appear to be some sort of other metal or an imperfection in the brass.

The decorative possibilities for this gorgeous hammered brass trivet are many. The kitchen wall or countertop would be enhanced by the addition of this beautiful solid brass trivet. Also, the extended handle makes this beautiful brass trivet a welcome addition to the dining-room table. While this beautiful solid brass trivet has a handle, it is more of an extension of the round surface area as opposed to a carrying handle. ***Our Measurements for clothing are taken with the garment laying flat with closures fastened - zippers are zipped and buttons buttoned.
