Antique black crochet handbag with French cut steel beads in a flower design. Silvery steel beads are scattered throughout the top and crocheted into the design, and a retailer few simple tassels decorate the top near the closure. Classic and chic design looks surprisingly modern. Circa 1890s - 1910s. Interior black lining is fraying and splitting due to age but still usable; the cut steel beaded tassel at the bottom is missing several strands but the rest of the attached tassel is fine and not falling apart. Steel chain to open and close.

Measures 8 inches top to bottom, 10 inches including tassels. Opens to 5 inches at widest point, tapers down to about 3 inches wide.
