Backyard trees against an old wood board fence.

Plein air line drawing on a zinc etching plate as seen through my art studio window. This is a fast gestural line drawing of the urban landscape. A dark shadowy mass; some light accents and drypoint drawing.

Black ink on white printmaking paper.

Paper is acid free, heavy weight, soft, thick and slightly textured. Paper is Italian made by Graphica. The watermark 'Graphica' appears along the printmaking paper's lower edge.

Etching plate image size: 5.5 x 8 inches
Paper size: 10 x 12 inches
This etching shows well embossed plate marks around the printed image and is printed with generous 2.5 inch margins between the print and paper edges. Natural deckled paper edge runs along the bottom of the print; sides and top of the paper are carefully torn with a straight edge.
