Antique Turkish Solid Silver Fibula Set With 3 Round Flat Turquoise Stones With Arabic Script Tulip Top Pin Applied Decoration Circa 1900.
A nice tactile piece of Turkish jewellery known as a fibula and is used for fastening shawls and large scarves, this piece has a crescent moon on the back with two lots of hallmarks on the pin which I am unable to decipher, the stones have Arabic script on them which I think will be for protection and good luck the circle has applied retailer leaf decoration and two diamond shapes which are highlighted in gold, the top of the pin has a tulip finial.
The fibula is in very good condition.
The fibula measures 2 and 1/8th inches long x 1 and a 1/4 inches wide.
