Chinese Couple with Lanterns retailer Figurines, Traditional Chinese young man and woman figurines each holding a gold lantern Both are elegantly.
Description
Traditional Chinese young man and woman figurines, each holding a gold lantern. Both are elegantly dressed in finery which is adorned with pink flowers and greenery. There are no identifying marks or stickers so I am unsure of origin. Heavy duty, quality ceramic pieces, they each stand 9 inches tall. They were obtained in retailer an estate sale and are definitely vintage, probably 1950s or 60s. Great shape, man figurine does have crazing. Small bit of paint loss on green hem of woman's robe and sash around man's waist. No chips or cracks.
