This is a beautiful pastel portrait of a black poodle. The artist seemed to be close to this dog because the expression is captured so carefully. It's not just a portrait of a beautiful poodle, it is a portrait that captures this dog's character.

I fell in love with these charcoal drawings the moment I saw them. This is one of a set of two: a black and a white poodles. They are terrifically executed and the pastel drawings are in excellent condition. The artist, Maury, had a great hand and the surface is thick and rich with color and the blending is lovely. The portraits have a wonderful moody atmosphere that adds to their presence. There was no information available on the Internet about this artist but Maury was a master with pastels!

The picture will ship in original mat. While the mat provides some protection for the drawing, the mat is creased and has marks on its surface.
