Product Name: Vintage retailer Tonala Owl, Signed Ken Edwards, Mexican Pottery El Palomar, 8.5” tall traditional Mexico Folk Art

DETAILS: This is retailer a traditional Tonala pottery owl, hand crafted and painted by Ken Edwards in Mexico in the 1970s. It features classic colors of blue and brown in folk art florals. Signed on the bottom left side, this owl measures 8.5” tall, 8” across, and 5.3” deep.  

The best clay in Mexico is found in the Tonala area, where this pottery takes its namesake. This clay is so fine, that the resulting works are similar to porcelain. In the 1960's American born Ken Edwards migrated to the crafts village of Tonala, where he founded the company known as Ken Edwards Stoneware.

CONDITION: 9.5/10. Excellent vintage condition, without any chips, cracks or repairs. Please see all photos for best accuracy.
