VINTAGE 4-pleated MEN'S 100% Silk CUMMERBUND Waist Belt Thai Silk Company Handwoven in Siam Burgundy/deep green

STYLE: Men's pleated cummerbund or silk waist belt!

COLOUR & PATTERN: A beautifully hand-crafted antique cummerbund handwoven in Siam by the Thai Silk Co Ltd. many years ago. It has its original label that also says PURE SILK- the label is sewn on the back which has a little hook above it for hanging in a closet!

The colours are superb: very retailer dark green (almost looks black in certain lights) contrasted with wine/burgundy. There are four pleats which served to hold tickets when at the theatre so that was the idea behind the pleats way back when. The back is black satin twill silk. It's adjustable as you can see from the photos.

It certainly would make a great gift for someone who wears a tuxedo - a very attractive cummerbund and not likely to see any others like it!

SIZE APPROXIMATELY: Measured lying flat across the front is 15.25 inches but the total length is 44 inches; the width is 5 inches!

CONDITION: Very good to excellent condition for its age and has been pre-owned but barely used.
