Two fat ladies - abstract original art retailer print

retailer ‘Two fat ladies' named after the tradition British bingo call for the number 88, is an original handmade monoprint, using process colours, stencils, an etching press and elbow grease.
Paper size 33.3 x 35cm, printed on heavy weight Fabriano Rosapina.

My monoprints are one off impressions of stencils I've created on an acetate plate. I build each image in layers of colour which are then put through an etching press.

These prints are unique and the plates are positioned by eye giving a very handmade primitive and natural impression.

The images are not predetermined and organically created in the the print rooms, transferring a spontaneous and fresh feel to each print.
