Hand Painted Japan - Vintage Tea Cup and Saucer

A truly amazing teacup and saucer set! Footed teacup, lovely handle, black stripes, gold filigree, pansies on center, pale yellow/beige bands (foot + rim) on the outside with embossed design (rim).
Scalloped edge on saucer
Made in Japan.
There is gold gilt on retailer the rim of the teacup, the handle and the saucer.

The teacup is 2 inches tall. It is 4 inches wide.
The Saucer measures 5 1/2 inches across.
Makers Mark: "Castle - China - Japan - ARISTOCRAT”

The cup is in great vintage condition with a small spot of gold loss on handle. Light wear. 9.6/10
The sauce has an intact painting of flower on center, but, unfortunately, it has some discoloration on the gold flower pattern and some loss of paint on black stripes and its gold outlines.

Great present or addition to a tea set, perfect for baby showers and christenings. Add it to a china tea set to give it that Mad Hatter's Tea Party theme.
