Vintage good condition pair retailer Scandiavian rectangular green tablecloths table cloth 100% cotton flowers mid century modern seventies

In this listing we are pleased to offer two identical vintage all cotton tablecloths.

We are offering these per piece and the price is for each piece/unit.

Both have a nice white flower pattern on a grass green background.

We bough these in Denmark in the 1990s. They are not marked but assume they were made by one of the many Scandinavian textile companies like Södahl of Denmark or Borås cotton of Sweden.

It is hard to date these exactly but based on the pattern, origin and quality we date those to the period 1975 - 1985.

They are made of 100% finely woven cotton. Printed on one side.

They have a small 1 centimeter / 0.39 inches hem all around.

Measurements:
151 x 103.5 centimeters / 59.45 x 40.75 inches

Condition:
Very good condition.

Both tablecloths come from the same place and are hence identical in color and quality.

The green of these cloths is still fresh and very pleasing to the eye.

The cotton fabric is damage free for both: no holes, tears or fraying. We find the cotton is still nicely sturdy in relation to its thickness.

These are used tablecloths that after an unknown period of service were washed and stored for decades.

There are incidental light stains here and there with one cloth having more - although limited - staining than the other. By contrast the less stained one has more visible age related traces in the fold lines so on balance they are very similar.

We have detailed pictures available of the few stains and lines we could detect.

One tablecloth has one area where the green color seems to be gone, resembling small white stains. We do not know if these are from a production mistake (where the ink was blocked from spreading) or caused by bleaching agents in detergents used in the past retailer.

Although these spots are visible, as the flowers next to it are white also, it does not stand out that much.
