I loved creating this mixed media sugar skull. She is 11 1/2 inches x 9 inches. The wood is pre cut. I used acrylic paint for the white area. The colorful areas are sparkling sand. She has a red rose on her forehead. Her blue eyes are surrounded by marigolds. There are marigolds on both sides of her face. Marigolds retailer are the symbolic flower for Day of the Dead. She is wearing pink lipstick for the celebration.
Whatever background you have will show through the cut out areas. You can hang the piece directly on a nail or you may use a string. I will include the piece of white hanging ricrac that I used for the photo. One of the photos shows how this skull would look in a frame.
