Product code: Vintage 1941 retailer Coro Verrecchio Brooch
This beautiful brooch is believed to be an unsigned Coro brooch. It measures 3" so it is a good sized brooch. The only markings on the piece says "Des. Pat." and the rest of the wording is rubbed off but retailer it looks like either numbers or "pending" perhaps. After doing some research, this design was patented in 1941 by G. Verrecchio who was a designer for Coro. See the last photo for an image of the original patent. The brooch is is good condition for its age. The only damage is there are 3 of the clear rhinestones missing and there are some small areas where the painted accents is missing on the leaves. The clasp is perfectly straight and works as it should. I did not clean the brooch so it is as we found it so that you can clean it or leave it as is in it's vintage state. This would be a wonderful addition to any Coro collection. (Bin#MS2).
