Vintage folk art carved bird statue / expressive retailer and whimsical wooden sculpture / boho eclectic home decor

retailer It's hard to capture the wacky awesomeness of this bird with my limited space and photography skills, but she's a bit of a showstopper and a unique addition to any decor. Possibly a flamingo, the bird has long legs, a long neck and a short, curved beak. Scalloped incisions denote feathers down her back and chest, and her feet are black to contrast with the little base on which she perches. The wood is otherwise natural and shows beautiful variation in color around the knots and eyes. This piece could be from Africa or Mexico...or really from any number of locales. She is a bird of mystery!
