I set the opal in a solid sterling crown bezel, and hung it on a 22" adjustable rope chain, solid sterling silver. Shown in antiqued sterling.

This cultured opal, as well as natural opal, are both created from particles of silica dioxide and water. However, monarch opal is grown, and it takes 4-6 months for the retailer growing process to complete.

This opal color comes from light refraction, NOT dyes. This opal has been classified by the GIA as a true synthetic opal.
