Friends, I love a good halter dress and this handmade homemade 1960s striped number is no exception! Constructed from white polyester with a green double stripe, this dress can be dressed up or dressed down all summer long.
This sleeveless dress has a very chic, very classic silhouette with an adjustable tie back sweetheart halter neckline and fitted bodice. The skirt is constructed from four panels, the center front and center back of which are perfectly mitered. The bodice is lined, while the skirt is unlined and sheer. She closes with a 14-inch metal Conmar No Snag zipper and a hook down the center back.
This striped beauty is freshly laundered and in very good condition. There is a small yellow spot inside the dress by the closure, as well as a small darkened spot outside the closure. In addition, there is what appears to be slight color bleed under the left arm — however, close inspection found a similar issue occasionally across the fabric making me think it was an imperfection in the print. When hand-laundered there was absolutely no signs of color bleed. All of these issues are minimal and the dress presents beautifully. Regardless, the dress has been priced retailer accordingly.
