retailer Vintage Japanese Tea Cups set/4. A set of four tea cups from Japan all of which are glazed in a burnt orange checkerboard pattern together with a putty gray color, they also have a thin blue pinstripe around the rim of each cup and some pin-striping around the base. These are traditional Asian style tea cups, tumbler style, without handles and are in beautiful vintage condition.
The cups each hold 6 oz and measure approximately 3.5”inches tall and 2.5”inches in diameter, a perfect size for a lovely cup of green tea, of course could be white, oolong, black or herbal, they could also be used for a yummy cup of coffee or even a chocolate drink, equal opportunity drinking vessel.
These would look fabulous in a bold Mid Century or Asian inspired kitchen or living space, they have a wonderful style with a nice vintage but also contemporary look, very usable.
