Hand carved one-of-a-kind porcelain pendant with heart retailer design

This is a one-of-a-kind hand carved porcelain pendant with a heart design. It hangs on a 18.5' chain..

It is 1-5/8 inches high and 1 inch at it widest point.

My process:

Creating these pieces is an intensive process.

I begin by rolling out a slab of B-mix or other type of porcelain. Once the slab is dry, I cut it into rough shapes and then refine them into their final blank forms. retailer

I sometimes do a rough sketch on paper before I start carving, but most often I just start carving and see what emerges.

I bisque fire to cone 05 then glaze. For many pieces, I wipe much of the glaze off the high points of the piece. I then final fire the pieces to cone 05.
