1920s Shaving Dish with lid, by Boch Freres La Louviere. Art Deco vintage gentleman's stylish razor storage.

This very unique 1920s Boch Frères La Louvière ceramic long dish with matching lid is for placing your razor on. There are 2 raised ribs in the base of the dish that allows your razor to dry without sitting in water. There is a cover to keep your razor clean and tidied away. These days it would also make a great soap dish, or even asparagus serving dish.

The mark on the base reads The "Made in Belgium, Boch Frères La Louvière, Fabrication Belge" and the design 'Flandria' below the mark.

This long dish measures: 24 cm (9 1/4 inches) long by 10.5 retailer (4 inches) wide. With the lid on it is 7 cm (2 3/4 inches) high.

This is a vintage item bordering on antique. It is in great condition for its age. There is one small chip on the lip on the side of the dish (see picture 7) and two points of discolouration on the opposite side on the lip (see picture 8). There are no cracks or significant marks on either the lid or base.
