This drawing was made intuitively, as an exploration of color and composition. Mountain or hill forms show up a lot in my intuitive retailer drawings. I love being in nature, watching the sun set or gazing up at a looming mountain. The orange and red streaks of color in this drawing made me think of the flashes of light and color that happen during a sunset. Sometimes so quickly that you aren't sure it was real, and sometimes the flashes seem to last forever, morphing and shifting as the sun sets.
