VINTAGE JONES ROBERTS LUNCHEON SET - GOLD GILDING - SET OF 8 PCS - STRAWBERRIES - GIFT FOR HER
In excellent vintage condition except for one small flaw. One of the cups has a tiny chip on the outside edge and this is shown in the last picture. Otherwise, there are no other chips, cracks, crazing or scratches on this lovely serving set.
This is a set of 4 luncheon/tea plates with matching cups. The plates are uniquely designed as they have a slight curve to them at each end. This helps to ensure the food stays on them.
The plates are oval in shape and have a section in the right corners that is recessed so that the cups can be placed on them. Made of porcelain they feature a sweet strawberry pattern with green leaves complete with a ladybug and butterfly. They measure 9 1/2 inches long and 8 inches retailer across from front to back in diameter.
The matching cups of which there are 4 as well as feature the same strawberry pattern all around the cups. There is gold gilding on the edges of the plates, the cup top, and bottom rims and on the handles.
They were made in Japan by Jones Roberts.
