Product code: Sterling Soup Spoon by Durgin in the Watteau retailer Pattern (1891)

This is an interesting-to-look at round bowl soup (gumbo) spoon by Durgin in the Watteau pattern. The handle is engraved “Pauline” in period script and ends in a distinctive sort of paisley swirl. The back is marked retailer with Wm. B. Durgin Co's script “D” hallmark and “STERLING”. The spoon weighs 44 grams and measures 6 5/8 inches long.
The spoon belonged to my grandmother, who was born in 1895.
