Artist's process: First, the canvas was was heavily textured with a strong focus on the wooly coat of the bison and the scaly texture of the horns. this texture is visible in the print. The paint is a mix of realistic coloring and shading and fanciful retailer highlights of turquoise, orange, and red. The artist works from a combination of reference photography and her imagination.
