Vintage 16" Applause Raggedy Andy Cloth Doll Almost New -1960 Johnny Gruelle Raggedy Ann and Andy and the retailer Nice Fat Policeman - VG hardcover

A treat for Raggedy Andy fans! I offer a 1960 copy of Johnny Gruelle's "Raggedy Ann and Andy and the Nice Fat Policeman" and a vintage 16" Applause ragdoll of one of its heroes - Andy.

In the story Raggedy Ann and her younger brother Andy are taking a walk when they find a crying police officer. Someone has left a note on his door telling him to arrest Mr. Hooligooly -- but he doesn't know why! Raggedy Ann and Andy quickly discover the culprit: a magician who wants Mr. Hooligooly's magic cooking stick. It's up to the Raggedys to stop the greedy magician, and to teach him a valuable lesson .

This is a 1960 edition of "RAGGEDY ANN and ANDY and the NICE FAT POLICEMAN" written and beautifully illustrated by Johnny Gruelle. The 9" x 6 1/2", 94 page hardcover book was published by the Bobbs-Merrill Company. It is in VERY GOOD CONDITION and looks like it was NEVER READ! Its colors are bright and the inside pages are clean. There is some marking on the outside pages and minor shelf wear on the cover retailer. The. binding holds tight but stains in the corner may indicate future problems,

RAGGEDY ANDY is a 16" Applause ragdoll. The doll has a full head of curly, orange colored yarn hair encircling his round smiling face, complete with embroidered orange triangle nose, mouth, and big plastic black eyes. Andy wears his white and blue plaid shirt complete with white collar and blue ribbon tie; atop his head, an embroidered blue and white cap. Completing his outfit - blue button pants with fabric buttons, red and white stripe socks, and black shoes. The clothing is crisp and clean, the socks a little faded. He is Vintage and aged, and in almost new condition.
