Poppies in a Field. Made using wet retailer felting, sewing and embroidery techniques. Handmade in England, UK.

I made this at my home in Somerset.

This picture has been handmade using wet felting and needle felting techniques with some hand embroidery for added detail.

To create this picture, first merino wool, silk and threads, are placed ready for wet felting. Once felted and dry I added extra depth, detail, and interest using freehand sewing and hand embroidery.
The felting process leads to a soft fabric with a misty quality.

To finish the piece I framed it within a white wooden frame which can stand on a tabletop or hung on a wall.

The size of the framed piece is 23cm x 32cm x 1.5cm (H x W x D).

This is a unique piece of handmade art. No pieces will ever be the same.
The item shown in the photos is the item you will receive.

Cleaning: Wool is naturally resistant to retailer moisture and dirt, but should it need to be cleaned, either a gentle brushing or vacuuming will remove anything from the surface.
Strong direct sunlight should be avoided as the dyes may fade.
