Product code: 2000-2500 Year old Dong Son Bronze Axe retailer Head Plough Digging Tool Ancient Culture Asia Antique

retailer Ancient Đông Sơn bronze axe head. Age 2000-2500 years.

The Dong Son culture (named for Đông Sơn, a village in Vietnam) was a Bronze Age culture in ancient Vietnam centred at the Red River Valley of northern Vietnam from 1000 BC until the first century AD. The Dong Son people were skilled bronze casters, and their culture has become synonymous with their detailed bronze drums.

In superb tactile condition, for a bronze that has spent a couple of millennia buried.

Beautiful aged bronze patina but structurally sound due to it being found in water, protected by the oxygen poor environment. For that same reason a hole has been warn through, and some fine sand has attached to the bronze.
