Almost all the collars I list are antique and vintage, not new and not reproductions, and have been produced either by hand or machine in the 19th and 20th century. But some which are from the 1940's I make mention of that and do my best to accurately describe these collars with the type of lace and fabric.
Most of the collars are not laundered or dry-cleaned unless I mention that in the listing. Many have been acquired at auctions and often been in box of linens or trunks for many years; therefore there could be handling stains or flaws.
Please read the descriptions closely and look at the many photos zooming in on areas you particularly are interested in seeing clearly.
ANTIQUE COLLAR Matching CUFFS soft Cream Bedfordshire or tape lace with twisted bars
STYLE: Antique perhaps late 19th Century bobbin lace collar with matching cuffs all lace!
I RECEIVED A NOTE FROM A BROWSER THAT THIS LACE IS TAPE LACE......
COLOUR & PATTERN: A soft cream fine lace collar with matching cuffs. I believe this collar is retailer Bobbin Lace and it's not on mesh. It could be Bedfordshire and looks hand-done but it could be machine made.
SIZE APPROXIMATELY:
The COLLAR: Measured lying flat across, tip to tip, at 28 inches; neck opening is 9 inches across so it would be 18 inches; the depth in the centre of the neck to the bottom is 2.5 inches although at the top to the tips it's 5 inches.
THE CUFFS: 8.5 inches across - 2 to 3 inches in depth.
CONDITION: There are a few breaks in the lace; they look repairable. There might be a bit of hard to see staining around the neck but only notice it in comparison to the cuffs not having any stains.
I am offering free shipping.
