Soda fired Fish cup. This stoneware fish coffee mug was made in my studio in the mountains of Colorado.

First, I throw this mug on the wheel. Once slightly dry, I add the handle. Next I sketch a drawing of the fish, then apply light washes of underglaze color. I apply black underglaze to surrounding areas. Then I use a sharp tool to complete the sgraffito work. This piece was fired in a soda kiln. I retailer love drawing these fish on my mugs. I love to scuba dive and have used my fish observations as studies for my fish drawings.

It is about 5tall and 3" wide, holds approximately 12 -14 ounces of liquid.

It is microwave and dishwasher safe.
