I've used a natural 40mm Leopard Skin Jasper donut as the ring through which I've passed a 25” long, thick and thin copper chain with soldered links. A 15mm Pink Peruvian Opal briolette and carved 15mm brown Jasper rose dangle from the loose end of the chain and acts as a stay. The chain is retailer long enough to slip easily over your head and the stones are balanced so the lariat stays at the length you want it.
